Sebastian is named after the saint, because St Sebastian is quite possibly the most gay-coded of them all, and is usually depicted tied up and <s>penetrated</s> pierced by multiple arrows. ‘Marcus’ is just a very common Roman name, and I picked it because he’s a professor of Classics/Latin.

Marcus and Sebastian also appear in Nothing They Can Do About It and A Roomful of Strangers

Author's Notes

I’ve not got many deep things to say about this piece, other than that I’ve been working on it on-and-off for a while before deciding to submit it here (as I realise is often the case with my pieces). As such, the issue prompt is roundly ignored.

Sebastian is named after the saint, because St Sebastian is quite possibly the most gay-coded of them all, and is usually depicted tied up and penetrated pierced by multiple arrows. ‘Marcus’ is just a very common Roman name, and I picked it because he’s a professor of Classics/Latin.
