This story is a second-chance tale in more than one way. Obviously it's about people who get second chances (of a sort), but the story itself also got a second chance at life: I started it for [[Issue 50]], all the way back in August 2014, but I petered out fairly early in the process and never completed it. When this issue came around, I thought I'd give it another shot at life.

Summary

A failed attempt at reincarnating a supersoldier meets his former self's old boyfriend.

Author's Notes

This story is a second-chance tale in more than one way. Obviously it's about people who get second chances (of a sort), but the story itself also got a second chance at life: I started it for Issue 50, all the way back in August 2014, but I petered out fairly early in the process and never completed it. When this issue came around, I thought I'd give it another go, and this is what it wound up being.

The title is slightly nonsensical, except that the Massive Attack song of the same name was what I had stuck in my head for basically the entire creative process. Perhaps imagine it playing during the club scene.

There's fanon influence here, but I'll be impressed if you can spot it.
