Picked Up Along the Way is a story written by Okō. It ran in Yes, And 5 at http://www.shousetsubangbang.com/mirror/picked-up-along-the-way/.
Summary:
Morgan has't expected to have a roof over his head for a long time, much less people who trust him to fix their coffeeshop's plumbing while they feed him up. Being hit on by people he actually knows is just plain weird.
Connections:
None so far, but I'm fond of these characters.
Author's Notes:
This story is set somewhere in gentrifying Brooklyn in the twenty teens: I have a neighborhood in mind, but wanted to leave it a little open.
