Summary
An annoying long-ago ex is trying to contact Keith for some unknown reason. Meanwhile, the much-younger carpenter repairing his back porch (not a euphemism) is personable and competent and pretty easy on the eyes, too.
Author's Note
This story takes place in a slightly alternate universe, where the 1980s were somewhat more open, and where a young rocker coming out would have been seen by many as a cool, daringly transgressive role model rather than persona non grata. We can dream, right?
