Rec: Morbid and Creepifying

The most recent issue (Issue 33) has been spookier than most, it's true, but that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to SSBB scary. Thus, I've cobbled together a list of spooky stories -- a handful from this last issue, most from past ones -- that I found particularly memorable. I tried to make it so that this isn't just stories with traditionally scary elements, but stories that are good reads if you really want to spook yourself. ...Some more so than others.

In deference to those who like to be prepared, this list shall be accompanied by my traditional utterly useless six-word summaries.

• The Doll: Yeah, dolls aren’t creepy at all.
• Kiss Kiss Brains Brains: Kisses are free, brains cost extra.
• Highjacked by the Truth: I think I’d watch this show.
• Sweet to Tongue and Sound to Eye: Those fairy folk are real jerks.
• Tourniquet: Didn’t need all those limbs anyway.
• The Unicorn Man: Who doesn’t want a pet unicorn?
• Love Will Tear Us Apart (or, The Modern Pygmalion): AAAAAAA AAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAA AAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAA
• Undertow: A comic about love and drowning.
• The Eleusinian Mysteries: Don’t eat the pomegranate seeds, kid.
• Complicated Creation: Not dead yet! I feel fine!
• Robin, after the apocalypse: Zombies in the kitchen with Di~nah….
• The Eye of Nechemyyeh: Little twin sacrifice never hurt anyone.
• Everything living tries to get back to the soil: End of the world and stuff.
