The Jazzman's Last Jive is a story written by shukyou and illustrated by peachke. It ran in Special Issue 3 and can be found at http://s2b2.livejournal.com/84468.html and http://www.shousetsubangbang.com/mirror/the-jazzmans-last-jive/.
The story originally ran unillustrated, but peachke did an illustration as a response to a bangbangwhimper challenge, and it was later added to the story.
Summary
One mob girlfriend finds comfort in the arms of another.
She walked down the stairs into the dark, smoke-filled speakeasy like water, each long leg cascading down past the other as her pale blue skirt swirled around her knees, the light from the outside streetlamps catching and lighting her snow-blonde hair like a halo, and Nell took a drink of her martini and wondered what the hell kind of bird Jimmy had picked up this time.

Author's Notes
This all happened when amei and I were talking about how awesome the '20s were, particularly from a visual and design standpoint, and I said WELL YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO ABOUT THAT. Because, well, I can be talked into just about anything.
