Fire

Fire is a story written by Tsukizubon Saruko. It ran in Special Issue 2 at http://s2b2.livejournal.com/48291.html, and is mirrored at http://www.shousetsubangbang.com/mirror/fire/.

Summary

From pinboard.in: "THERE'S THIS BIG DESERT WHERE A FIRE ELEMENTAL LIVES, AND EVERY YEAR SOME ADVENTURERS GO OUT INTO THE WASTES TO HUNT HER AND ARE NEVER SEEN AGAIN. AND SO THIS WOMAN GOES OUT THERE AND FALLS IN LOVE WITH HER, OR WITH HUNTING HER. AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER! WELL, PROBABLY NOT."

Author's Notes

Based actually a lot more closely than you might think on a dream I had once. I have really weirdly coherent, narrative dreams.
