Summary

"When Eli had signed up for the S.T.E.M project, Dr. Boyd had told him that his spinal enhancements would give him increased speed, strength, and endurance, and that he would be able to do things that most men only dreamed about. For the most part, it was true: Eli could fight men who had twice his muscle mass, lift cars without much effort, and run thirteen miles in thirty minutes. But surviving a fall from a forty story building? Somehow, he didn't think any amount of spinal enhancements could prevent him from becoming a pile of broken bones on impact."
