Author's Notes

From idea to final punctuation mark, I wrote this in twelve days, which I think might be the fastest I’ve ever written anything, and certainly the fastest I’ve written for S2B2. Aesthetically, this story is inspired by an irreverent amalgamation of lots of fiction I’ve been reading recently. I admit to one, but I defy anyone to be able to identify any or all other strands precisely.

Thank you to melanofly for the gorgeous illustrations, especially since it was rather short notice! They put so much thought and effort into them, and added so many little details, I feel like I could look at them for years and still always find something new.
